Shamim Hossain, who has played 10 Twenty20 Internationals for Bangladesh, has been added to the squad for the second ODI on Friday.
The left-handed batter was brought back to the T20I fray for the Tigers’ T20I series against England after a 16-month hiatus on Wednesday.
Shamim had a good BPL, scoring 175 runs with an average of 29.16 and a strike rate of 135.65. Seemingly, that pushed him into the T20I squad and now the ODIs.
He might play in the second ODI in place of Afif Hossain, who has failed to reach double digits in his last four ODIs for Bangladesh.
In his 10 T20Is, Shamim has 124 runs with an average of 15.5 and a strike rate of 111.71.
