Bangladesh fast-bowler Shoriful Islam is set to leave Monday night for the West Indies ahead of the Tigers’ second Test in Saint Lucia, starting on June 24.
He will join the Test side and will be available for selection, reinforcing Bangladesh’s pace attack.
The left-arm pacer got injured in the first Test against Sri Lanka at home in Chattogram earlier in May and was ruled out of the following Test in Dhaka.
He was struck on his right hand while batting against fast-bowler Kasun Rajitha in the first Test and X-rays that were carried out later revealed a fracture.
Bangladesh lost their first Test at Antigua by seven wickets on Monday as they trail the two-match series 1-0.

The Tigers are already without the services of ace speedster Taskin Ahmed in the Test series, but he is likely to feature in the white-ball formats.
Shoriful has been a main-stay for the Tigers Test eleven since making his debut in April 2021.
He has played four matches and picked up six wickets in his Test career so far.
