Sports bodies like Bangladesh Cricket Board and Bangladesh Football Federation organized special programs on the occasion of the 102nd Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
BCB distributed food to the less fortunate and offered special prayers and recitation of the Holy Quran at the BCB Management Office premises inside the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
BFF also arranged special programs to observe the day. BFF Officials lay wreaths on the portrait of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Special prayers were offered at the nearby mosque and food was distributed among the orphanages on this occasion.
