Chattogram Challengers won the eliminator match of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League by a narrow margin of seven runs against Khulna Tigers at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday.
Khulna Tigers won the toss and elected to bowl first, they missed out their ace batsman Will Jacks due to his upset stomach.
Challengers post 189-5 in 20 overs. Chadwick Walton was not out for 89 runs in 44 balls while Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 36 runs.
In reply, Khulna went close but at the end they were just one six away from the target.
Andre Fletcher was not out on 80 and Yasir Rabbi added a quickfire 45 from just 24 balls but they could not take the team home.
A cunning last over by the skipper Miraz takes Chattogram Challengers to the Qualifiers by eliminating Khulna Tigers.
