Right-arm pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib will miss the third match of the three-game ODI series against Sri Lanka due to injury. The third match will take place on March 18.

Gazi Ashraf Hossain, the chief selector of the BCB, informed UNB that they are currently working on selecting a replacement for Tanzim.

Tanzim sustained a hamstring injury during the first ODI in Chattogram. Despite this, he participated in the second ODI and bowled all 10 overs while managing his injury. However, his condition worsened during a net session thereafter.

In the first two ODIs, Tanzim took four wickets, including three in the first match that Bangladesh won.

Prior to this series, Tanzim played nine matches in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and claimed 11 wickets.

His absence in the final match, which will decide the series as both teams have won one match each, will certainly be a setback for the Bangladesh team.
