Tigers get 2nd shot of COVID-19 vaccine

A number of Bangladesh national cricket team players received the second shot of COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday ahead of their upcoming Sri Lanka tour.

Tamim Iqbal, Somya Sarkar, Taijul Islam, Mohammad Mithun, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shariful Islam, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi and Mukidul Islam got jabbed at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka.

Some other cricketers are expected to be inoculated with their 2nd dose of vaccine Sunday.

Meanwhile, Tigers’ head coach Russel Domingo, along with other staffers, also took their second shot of the vaccine, reports Daily Amader Somoy.

Bangladesh started administering the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine with Oxford-AstraZeneca shots from Thursday as the country is experiencing a second wave of the pandemic with making records in both deaths and invections.
