Bangladesh national cricket team will bat first in the first Twenty20 International of their two-match series against UAE in Dubai after losing the toss.
In Shakib Al Hasan’s absence, Nurul Hasan Sohan is leading the side and the wicketkeeper-batsman lost the toss.
Bangladesh brought in six changes from their last T20I XI, which was against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup. Nurul, Liton Das, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Mohammad Saif Uddin entered the XI in place of Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Ebadot Hossain, Taskin Ahmed and Shak Mahedi Hasan.
Shakib is currently busy playing in the Caribbean Premier League. Among the axed, Mushfiq retired from the format, while Mahmudullah and Mahedi were not included in the 17-man squad for the series. Ebadot and Taskin are on the bench.
