After facing back-to-back defeats, Bangladesh bounced back strongly in the third and final match of the three-match one-day international series as they bowled Afghanistan for 126 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Tuesday.
Bangladesh now need 127 runs to avoid the 3-0 clean sweep against Afghanistan.
Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai top scored with 56 off 71 balls for his side. Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 22 while the rest of the batting line could not do double digits.
Bangladesh’s pacer Shoriful Islam took four wickets for 21 runs, while Shakib al Hasan, who took a wicket, was the most economical bowler giving away only 13 runs in his 10 overs.
Taskin Ahmed and Taijul Islam took two wickets each and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the other.
