Bangladesh sealed consecutive One-Day International series wins over India as they won the second match of their three-match series to achieve an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Batting first, Bangladesh put on 271-7, courtesy of a brilliant unbeaten ton from Mehidy Hasan Miraz, along with 77 from Mahmudullah Riyad.
In reply, India were on the cusp of defeat with 207-7 on board, but Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, with a reportedly fractured hand, came on and started blasting the Bangladesh bowlers around to bring the equation down to 20 from the last over.
But Mustafizur Rahman held his nerve in the final over as he ensured that Bangladesh got a brilliant five-run win to seal their second series win over their neighbours.
PM greets Tigers
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the Bangladesh cricket team for their ODI series win against India.
In a congratulatory message, the prime minister greeted the players, coaches and officials of the national cricket team.
Miraz magic lifts Bangladesh
Bangladesh were struggling at 69-6 in their second ODI against India, but in came Miraz, their hero from the first match, and blasted an absolutely brilliant century to take them to 271-7.
Miraz, who reached triple figures for the first time in his ODI career on the final delivery of the innings, played 83 balls to do so, hitting eight fours and four sixes.
He was aptly supported by Mahmudullah Riyad, who scored 77 off 95 balls, and the duo put together 148 runs for the seventh wicket, the highest partnership for Bangladesh against India in this format.
After Mahmudullah's departure, Mehidy put together a 54-run partnership off just 23 balls with Nasum Ahmed, who played a great hand scoring 18 runs off 11 balls.
The last five overs of the Bangladesh innings produced 68 runs, meaning the Indian bowlers were thrashed all over the park.
Earlier, Winning the toss for a second time on the trot, Bangladesh skipper Liton Das opted to bat first as Bangladesh brought a solitary change to their XI with left-arm Nasum Ahmed replacing pacer Hasan Mahmud.
India brought in a couple of changes as they included left-arm spinner Axar Patel and pacer Umran Malik in place of spinner Shahbaz Ahmed and pacer Kuldeep Sen.
The Tigers seemingly got off to a good start as Anamul Haque, who paired up with Liton at the top, hit Mohammad Siraj for a couple of boundaries in the second over and then got a lifeline as Rohit Sharma spurned an opportunity at second slip.
But Anamul's joy was shortlived as Siraj trapped him LBW in the very next delivery, and despite the dismissal seeming as plumb as possible, the batter wasted a review on his way out for 11.
Skipper Liton struggled to get going, and he was relieved of his troubles when Siraj rattled his stumps after his uncharacteristic knock of seven from 23 balls.
The next to go was Najmul Hossain Shanto, who was rattled by Malik's pace and could not deal with a 151 kph delivery from the pacer, which went through the batter's gates and uprooted his stumps.
Shakib skied a ball trying to slog sweep Sundar before Mushfiq gloved one to Shikhar Dhawan at leg slip on 12, and Afif Hossain was foxed by an arm delivery that rattled his stumps to get out for a golden duck.
From there, Miraz and Mahmudullah rescued Bangladesh, before the former gave them a flourish to take them to 271.
