Bangladesh women's cricket team left for New Zealand in the wee hours of Thursday for the upcoming ICC women World Cup 2022.

The women squad took off from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 1:10pm.

“Bangladesh women's cricket team has left Dhaka this afternoon for New Zealand for participating in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022,” Said Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, BCB Director and women's wing Chairman, said.

The BCB director also added that “one cricketer and two officials were found Covid-19 positive therefore they will join the team after testing Covid-19 negative and following 14 days quarantine”.

Bangladesh will play against South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan, West Indies, India and Australia in the group stage.
