Bangladesh batsman Tushar Imran has informed that he will retire from all forms of cricket with the last match of this year’s National Cricket League.

Tushar wrote on his Facebook on Saturday that he will go to the field on Sunday to retire.

“I will go to the field tomorrow to retire from international and first-class cricket. Everyone pray for me,” he wrote.

The Business Post understands that Khulna Division’s match against Dhaka Division in the final round of the NCL at BKSP will be the veteran cricketer’s final match.

Tushar has played five Tests and 41 one-day internationals for Bangladesh, with the last coming in 2007. He has two ODI fifties for Bangladesh.

Despite failing in international cricket, Tushar has been a successful batsman in the domestic arena.

He has 11,972 runs in first-class cricket, including 32 three-figure scores along with 63 fifties. He also has 4,439 List A runs.
