Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, Rupganj Tigers and Shinepukur Cricket Club won their respective matches in successful chases in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League on Friday.
Sk Jamal won by eight wickets, Shinepukur won by four wickets and Rupganj Tigers chased to win by seven wickets.
Sk Jamal-Brothers Union
Sk Jamal put Brothers into bat after winning the toss and bowled them out for 160 runs. Parvez Rasool was adjudged the man of the match, picking up three wickets.
Saif Hassan’s 81 and Shykat Ali’s 38 led Sk Jamal to victory as they chased down 160 in 33 overs, losing two wickets.
Shinepukur Cricket Club-Gazi Group Cricketers
Gazi Group were put in to bat and set a target of 247, with Akbar Ali’s 61 and a couple of forties from Farhad Hossain (43) and Gurinder Singh (49). Hasan Murad of Shinepukur picked up three wickets
Shinepukur chased down the target in the 48th over, with half-centuries from Avishek Mitra (86) and Mahidul Islam Ankon (53).
Rupganj Tigers-City Club
Usman Khalid’s century and a 49 from MD Ashik Ul Alam Naeem pushed City Club’s total to 261-8.
In reply, Zakir Hasan scored a century (124 of 99 deliveries) and a half-century from Aparajith Baba (69) took Rupganj home with 52 deliveries remaining.
