Turkish origin German footballer Mesut Özil has shared a photo of a Palestinian child wearing his jersey of Arsenal club sending off an Israeli soldier with a red card.
Özil shared the photograph on his verified Facebook page on Friday amid a fresh spate of Israeli attacks on Palestinians. The post went viral on social media and 1.1 million people reacted to it. The photograph is one year old and it went viral on January 6, 2020.
Özil also shared a photo depicting him praying in front of Al Aqsa.
The ongoing Israeli airstrikes have so far killed 126 Palestinians in Gaza, including 31 children and 20 women, 950 people have been injured, reported Alarabiya on Friday citing the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
