DSE finds Nurani Dying’s factory closed

A team of Dhaka Stock Exchange has found the factory and the head office of Nurani Dyeing & Sweater closed during its recent visit.

The disclosure was made through a news posting on the DSE website on Monday.

According to the disclosure, the DSE team could not enter into the factory premises and the head office of the company.

BSEC spokesperson and executive director Rezaul Karim told The Business Post that he has no information about the factory closing.

“If the factory is closed for any reason other than the lockdown, the stock exchange and BSEC has to be informed. If not, we will take action,” he said.

On July 23, the government imposed a 14-day strict lockdown and later extended it to August 10. However, from August 1, all the export-oriented factories have been reopened.
