The Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM) observed the National Mourning Day through different functions on Sunday.

In the morning, the BICM authorities, under the leadership of its director (admin and finance) Nazmus Salehin, paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

Later, they distributed food, mask and sanitizer among the distressed people.

The national flag was flown at half-mast on the BICM premises in Dhaka to mark the day and the 46th martyrdom of Bangabandhu, the darkest chapter in the history of independent Bangladesh.

Earlier on August 12, the institute organized a Doa Mahfil to pray for the salvation of the August 15 martyrs.
