Two mutual funds declare dividends

Two mutual funds -- CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund and CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund 1 -- declared 13.50 per cent and 13 per cent cash dividend respectively for the financial year 2020-21.

The record date of the both companies was set on September 8, according to news filings with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday.

The trustee committee of CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund declared the dividend based on the distributable income and retained earnings for the year ended on June 30, 2021. The fund’s earnings per unit (EPU) stood at Tk 1.89 for FY21, which was negative Tk 0.48 in the previous year.

It reported net asset value (NAV) per unit at market price of Tk 11.97, NAV per unit at cost of Tk 11.62 and net operating cash flow per unit (NOCFPU) of Tk 0.79 for the year ended on June 30, 2021, against Tk 8.99, Tk 10.85 and Tk 0.36 respectively for the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the trustee committee of CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund gained huge earnings per unit about 221 per cent for the FY21. The fund has reported EPU of Tk 2.41 for FY21, which was negative Tk 0.75 for the previous financial year.

CAPM BDBL Mutual Fund reported NAV per unit at market price of Tk 11.81, NAV per unit at cost of Tk 11.85, and NOCFPU of Tk 1.00 for the year ended on June 30, 2021, against Tk 8.39, Tk 10.90 and Tk 0.23 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
