Rupali Life declares 15% dividend

Rupali Life Insurance Company declared a 15 per cent dividend – 13 per cent cash and 2 per cent stock – for its shareholders for the year ended on December 31, 2020.

The insurance company made the disclosure through a news filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Monday.

The latest dividend is one per cent higher than that of FY19, when the company provided 14 per cent dividend.

According the DSE information, the company will hold an annual general meeting (AGM) on October 28 to get the approval for the dividend. The record date was set on September.

The company, which carries out share trading under ‘A’ category at the DSE, was listed on the stock market in 2009.

It provides dividend regularly. According to the DSE data, its paid-up capital is Tk 29.42 crore, while the authorised capital Tk 100 crore.

On Monday, Rupali insurance’s share price increased by 2.1 per cent to Tk 77.70. The price rose by 41.53 per cent in the last three months.
