GrameenS2 declares 13% cash dividend

GrameenS2, a mutual fund listed on the stock exchanges, has declared a 13 per cent cash dividend for the financial year 2020-21, based on its higher income. 

In a disclosure made to the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the fund said that the figure of the dividend was fixed at a meeting of its Trustee Committee held recently. The record date was fixed on September 20.

In FY20, the fund distributed a 7 per cent cash dividend to the unit holders.

The fund reported earnings per unit (EPU) of Tk 6.08 for FY21 as per unrealised gain. The figure is 8 times higher than Tk 0.74 of the previous fiscal year.

On the other hand, it reported EPU of Tk 1.21 in FY20 as per realised gain. It was Tk 0.74 in the previous financial year.

Also, it reported net asset value (NAV) per unit at market price of Tk 20.82, NAV per unit at cost of Tk 11.64 and net operating cash flow per unit (NOCFPU) of Tk 1.16 for FY21, against Tk 15.46, Tk 11.14 and Tk 0.85 of the previous financial year.

Due to the dividend declaration, the fund had no price limit in share trading at the DSE on Tuesday.

Its unit price declined by14.29 per cent or Tk 3 on the day and stood at Tk 18.

On the other hand, the unit price of the fund declined by 13.3 per cent or Tk 2.8 decline at the Chittagong Stock Exchange.

According to the DSE data, the paid-up capital of the fund is aroundt Tk 182 crore.
