The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) will celebrate World Investor Week to promote financial and investor education, considering the conditions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) launches its fifth annual World Investor Week from October 4 to 10.
The BSEC will celebrate the week as a member of the IOSCO, said the securities regulator in a statement on Sunday.
The key messages of the IOSCO world investor week campaign in 2021 are based on the two themes—sustainable finance, and fraud and scam prevention.
The messages complement online investing, initial coin offerings, the basics of investing and digital learning, and online education.
The BSEC will celebrate the Week by organising a virtual discussion programme.
The topic of the programme is the role of sustainable finance, and fraud and scam prevention in protecting the interest of the investors and investors’ awareness.
