Beximco share rises 24%, Lafarge 31% in a month

Share prices of Beximco Limited and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh gained sharply in the last one month without any fundamental reasons.

Following the abnormal price hikes, the Dhaka Stock Exchange wrote them to explain behind the price rises.

In response, the companies replied on Tuesday that there was no undisclosed price sensitive information for the recent 'unusual' price hike.

Beximco share soared a 24.36 per cent and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh 31.5 per cent from September 5 to October 5, according to the DSE.

Beximco was listed on the stock exchange 1989. The company’s market capitalization is around Tk 12,785 crore, while the paid-up capital is Tk 876 crore.
