Padma Oil signs deal with 3 cos to sell LPG

The state-run Padma Oil Company has signed deals with three more gas companies to sell liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at its filling stations across the country.

The three companies are Delta LP Gas, Laugfs Gas (Bangladesh) Limited, and Jamuna Spacetech Joint Venture Limited, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.

The publicly traded oil company also said the deals were signed as part of its business expansion programme.

As per the deals, Padma Oil will add LPG refueling facilities to its oil pumps across the country for the gas companies. In return, it will receive a royalty of Tk 0.50 against the sale of each liter LPG.

Earlier in February, the company had signed similar agreements with Bashundhara LP Gas Ltd, Petromax LPG Ltd, and BM Energy (BD) Ltd to facilitate the sale of LPG at its filling stations. It receives the same royalty from these companies.
