Marico declares 200% interim cash dividend

Marico Bangladesh—the FMCG multinational company—has declared a 200 per cent interim cash dividend.

The board has recommended the interim cash dividend based on six months’ financials for the period ended on September 30, 2021, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.

The record date for entitlement of the dividend is scheduled for November 11. The company declared a 900 per cent cash dividend for 2020.

It reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 28.45 for July-September this year, up by 13.66 per cent from the same period a year ago.

The company’s six months (April-September) EPS also increased 10.69 per cent and EPS was Tk 62.73 for April-September 2021 as against Tk 56.67 for April-September 2020. Its NAV (net asset value) per share was Tk 74.69 as of September 30, 2021 and Tk 50.57 as of September 30, 2020.

Following its corporate declaration, the company’s share increased 0.51 per cent to Tk 2,320 on the DSE on Sunday. Marico Bangladesh is one of the top three FMCG multi-national companies with an array of products in the beauty and wellness segment.
