United Power Generation and Distribution Company (UPGDC) recommended a 170 per cent cash dividend for shareholders for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
The board of directors of the company recommended the dividend at a meeting on Wednesday.
The annual general meeting (AGM) is scheduled for December 27 for the investors’ approval of the recommended dividend. The record date for the entitlement of the dividend is November 22.
The company also reported earnings per share (EPS) jump by 83.6 per cent to Tk 18.80 for the year ended on June 30, 2021. Its net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 56.18 for the year ended on June 30, 2021.
On Wednesday, the company’s share rose 0.33 per cent to Tk 301.70 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange. It was listed on the stock exchanges in 2015.
