Sena Kalyan Insurance to debut on bourses today

Sena Kalyan Insurance Company will make debut on the bourses today.

It will be traded under ‘N’ category and the trading code is ‘SKICL’.

The comp-any reported net profit for the three months ended September (third quarter, or Q3) around Tk 1.68 crore.

Its basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.70 during the period, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday. However, the post-IPO EPS for the same quarter would be Tk 0.42.

The company’s pre-IPO net asset value (NAV) per share (considering pre-IPO paid-up shares) would be Tk 23.64 as of September 30, 2021.

It raised Tk 16 crore through initial public offering (IPO) by issuing 1.80 crore shares with a face value of Tk 10 each.

On August 11, it got IPO approval from the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSE). The IPO proceed is being spent on fixed deposits, investment in the capital market, purchase of floors and initial public offering.

Its subscription opened on October 3 and ended on October 8. Sena Kalyan Insurance was established in 2013.
