A bilateral meeting between the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) Group was held on Friday.
While chairing the meeting, DSE Chairman Md Eunusur Rahman highlighted the prospects and progress of Bangladesh’s capital market, said the DSE in a statement on Sunday.
The two sides discussed several issues, ranging from expansion and development of the bond market, especially building infrastructure by raising capital through green bond issuance, and elevating DSE to international standard through listing it on LSE, allowing listing opportunities for Bangladeshi listed companies on LSE, and exploring mutual cooperations for further development of the capital market.
BSEC Commissioner Shamsuddin Ahmed, Director Md Shakil Rizvi, Managing Director Tarique Amin Bhuiyan, General Manager and Company Secretary Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS, Deputy General Manager Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, Assistant General Manager Ruhul Amin, and Deputy Manager Shahdat Hossain were present at the meeting.
From the LSE side, Head of International Business Development, Primary Markets Tom Attenborough, Head of Business Development, Exchange Traded Products and International Order Book Lida Eslami, Director Ibukun Adebayo and Business Development Senior Associate, Multi-Asset Primary Markets Federica Giacometti attended the event.
