The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) held its 26th annual general meeting (AGM) at CSE Conference Hall in Chattogram on Thursday.

At the meeting, the CSE shareholders approved a 4 per cent dividend for the financial year 2020-2021.

Besides, they approved the proposal of changing the bourse’s registered name to “Chittagong Stock Exchange PLC” from “Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited” in accordance with the Companies Act, said a press release.

CSE Chairman Asif Ibrahim moderated the AGM held using digital platform complying with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission’s (BSEC) directives.

CSE Directors Prof SM Salamat Ullah Bhuiyan, SM Tayyab, Sohail Mohammad Shakor, Md Liaquat Hossain Chowdhury, Barriester Anita Ghazi Islam, Syed Mohammed Tanvir, Major (Retd.) Emdadul Islam, Md Siddiqur Rahman, Mohammed Mohiuddin, and Managing Director (Acting) Md Ghulam Faruque, and Company Secretary Rajib Saha joined the meeting through ZOOM.

The shareholders elected Managing Director of Prudential Capital Limited Md Rezaul Islam as director of the Chattogram bourse.
