BSEC lauds BICM’s role in developing capital market

Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Shibli Rubayat-ul Islam has lauded the researches and training sessions conducted by the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM).

He hoped the institute will continue its quality research and make significant contribution to the advancement of capital market.

The BSEC chair was addressing the unveiling event of the “Journal of Financial Market and Governance” organized by the BICM on Wednesday, said a press release.

According to the release, the BICM, as the supreme platform for capital market education, training and research, published the journal under own initiative. This is the maiden journal to be published by the institute.

Speaking on the occasion, BSEC Commissioner Prof Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed said laid emphasis on using modern technology to take the capital market forward.

He noted that the BICM can play a crucial role in creating technically skilled manpower for the market. BICM Executive President Dr Mahmuda Akter presided over the function.
