Abdul Matin Patwary has become the chief of operation (COO) of the Capital Market Stabilisation Fund (CMSF).
He took the charge on Saturday after the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and the CMSF board had approved his appointment to the post.
CMSF Chairman Nojibur Rahman and other directors welcomed the new COO and vowed to continue their cooperation in his journey ahead.
Patwary had earlier served the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) as the chief financial officer for six years.
In October, 2021, he stepped down from the position with effect from January 1 after the Dhaka bourse authorities had changed the mode of his appointment from permanent to contractual.
