Kattali Textile earnings soar 44% in Q2

Kattali Textile Limited (KTL) has posted a 44 per cent rise in its earnings for the second quarter in financial year 2021-22.

Its earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk 0.39 in October-December period from Tk 0.27 recorded in the same period a year ago, the company said in a news filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.

Kattali Textile attributed the good performance to its huge efficiency at cost of goods sold and operating cost.

However, the net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of Kattali Textile turned negative in the first half of the current fiscal year. It was Tk 0.18 in the previous year’s first six months.

Its net asset value (NAV) per share (with revaluation) was Tk 17.56 as on December 31, 2021 and Tk 16.71 as on June 30, 20201.

The financial disclosure impacted KTL shares positively on the Dhaka bourse as its share price rose 0.2 per cent to Tk 39.10 on Wednesday. The price moved between Tk 9 and Tk 39 throughout the last one year.

The company has Tk 452 crore market capitalization, Tk 116 crore paid-up capital and Tk 78 crore in surplus reserve.

Kattali Textile started its operation in 2002. It got listed with the capital market in 2018.
