LankaBangla declares 10% cash dividend

LankaBangla Finance has recommended 10 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2021.

The annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on May 31 for obtaining the investor’s approval.

The record date for the entitlement of the share is May 9, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

The company’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 2.38 for 2021, an increase of 31 per cent in the same period a year earlier.

Its consolidated NAV per share stood at Tk 19.82 and net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) negative Tk 0.88 for 2021, as against Tk 18.73 (restated) and Tk 15.79 (restated) respectively for the same period of the previous year.

“EPS soared mainly because of a surge in net investment income of Tk 79 crore from the capital market, increase in brokerage and underwriting commission of Tk 78 crore and rise in other operating income of Tk 16 crore offset by the noteworthy increase in provisions and suspense for lease, loans and advances (Tk 84 crore),” said LankaBangla.

On Tuesday, the share of LankaBangla declined 3.17 per cent to Tk 30.5 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.
