NRBC Bank declares 15% dividend for 2021

NRB Commercial (NRBC) Bank Limited has recommended a 15 per cent dividend, including 7.50 per cent cash and 7.50 per cent stock dividends for shareholders for 2021.

The board recommended the dividend at a virtual meeting with its Chairman SM Parvez Tamal in the chair on Wednesday, said the bank in a statement.

The bank will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 2, 2022, for the dividend approval of general shareholders. The record date for entitlement to the dividend will be on May 11 this year.

According to the financial statement, the earnings per share (EPS) and Net Asset Value (NAV) of the bank have increased in 2021 compared to the previous year.

Its consolidated EPS for January- December 2021 stood at Tk 3.07, which was Tk 1.87 in the same period a year ago.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share is Tk 16.25, up from Tk 13.33 during the period.

At present, the number of bank branches and sub-branches is 729, which was 450 in June of last year. The bank’s total number of staff is almost 6,000 people.
