Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC has decided to buy land for Balancing, Modernization, Rehabilitation, and Expansion (BMRE) at a cost of Tk 44 crore.
Its board of directors in a virtual meeting held on Saturday has approved the purchasing of land measuring 588 decimals located at Chandra, Kaliakoir, Gazipur, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
The local electrical giant also disclosed its third-quarter earnings on the day.
It has posted a 4 per cent drop in its earnings for the third quarter of the financial year 2021-22.
Its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 12.34 in January-March 2021, down from Tk 12.92 recorded in the same period a year ago.
Its net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) stood negative at Tk 16.36 for July 2021-March 2022 as against Tk. 52.24 for July 2020-March 2021. “The NOCFPS decreased significantly due to significant increase of inventories.
