Q1 EPS results: BRAC Bank sees down, Uttara Bank up

BRAC Bank reported a 6 per cent fall in its earnings for the first quarter of this year while Uttara Bank reported an 8 per cent rise in its earnings during the period.

BRAC Bank’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.77 in the January-March period, down from Tk 0.82 recorded in the same period a year ago, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday.

Its consolidated net operating cash flow (NOCFPS) per share was Tk 7.20 as against negative Tk 6.15 during the period.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) of the company per share was Tk 38.94 as of March 31, 2022, and Tk 31.80 as of June 30, 2021.

Uttara Bank EPS was Tk 0.81 in the January-March period, up from Tk 0.75 recorded in the same period a year ago.

Its consolidated net operating cash flow (NOCFPS) per share turned was negative Tk 9.49 for January-March 2022 against negative Tk 1.52 for January-March 2021.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) of the company per share was Tk 33.68 as of March 31, 2022, and Tk 31.57 as of June 30, 2021.
