Imam Button shares soar 60% in ten days

Share of Imam Button Industries Ltd has increased more than 60 per cent in ten consecutive sessions.

Its share price jumped 60 per cent from Tk 53 on May 10 to Tk 85 seen on June 2 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange. On Thursday, its share price roses 0.85 per cent to stand at Tk 85.1 following the query made by the DSE.

“There is no undisclosed price sensitive information of the company for recent unusual price hike and increase in volume of shares,” said Imam Button in response to the DSE’s query over its unusual price hike. Its third quarter (Q3) earnings per share (EPS) was Negative Tk 0.23 in 2020, from Negative Tk 0.07 in 2019. Its Net Asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 4.81 as on March 31, 2020 and Tk 5.32 as on June 30, 2019. Its last Dividend history in DSE Web site was 10 per cent stock Dividend for 2010.
