Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals to purchase land for expansion

Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals a publicly listed company has decided to purchase land for business expansion.

The company, which got listed on the stock market in 2018, said it has registered a deed for the purchase of land measuring 2.01 acres (200.50 decimal) at the cost of Tk 2 Core 65 Lac (including registration fee, local government fee, and other relevant costs).

The Company published the information on stock exchanges on Sunday.

Drugmaker Indo-Bangla said that it has purchased the land at, Kaliakoir, Gazipur.

On October 2, 2021, Indo-Bangla purchased 1.61 acres of land at a cost of Tk 4.21 crore from its own fund in the same area. In March 2021, the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) banned the production of Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals.

The DGDA later withdrew the ban in April of the same year.

In the first nine months of the fiscal year of 2021-22, its net revenue stood at Tk43 crore and the net profit at Tk7 crore.

Earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 0.12 as against Tk 0.12 for January-March 2021.

The net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 14.70 as on March 31, 2022 and Tk 14.29 as on June 30, 2021.

Its share price dropped 5.52 per cent to Tk 19.10 on the DSE in trading on Sunday.
