DSE queries 2 companies for unusual share price hike

DSE has queried 2 companies from Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) for unusual price hike and increase in volume of shares in a letter.

Those 2 companies are Renwick Jajneswar & Co (Bd) Limited and Paramount Insurance Company Limited.

The share price of Paramount Insurance Company Limited increased almost 46 per cent in 10 consecutive trading Days and share price began to rise on May 25.

On Wednesday, the company’s share price hit at 2.24 per cent to Tk 63.9 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange.

Renwick Jajneswar & Co (Bd) Limited Share price soared 20 per cent in 4 trading days and the share price began to rise on June 5.

The Company Share price increased almost 5.41 per cent to Tk 1149 on the Dhaka Stock exchange on Wednesday.

In response to the DSE queries companies stated that, “They don’t have any confidentialities regarding recent abnormal hike in price and increase in share volume.’’
