Express Insurance declares 10% cash dividend

Express Insurance Limited has recommended a 10 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for 2021.

The dividend was declared at the company’s board meeting on Wednesday, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

Its earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 1.85 in 2021, an increase of 12.80 per cent from Tk 1.64 seen in the previous year. Its net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) also jumped to Tk 3.17 in 2021 from Tk 4.40 in 2020.

Its net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 32.10 as of December 31, 2021, and Tk 19 as of last year.

The company will hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 1, 2022, to approve the latest dividend declaration. Its record date for the share entitlement is July 21, 2022. Following the announcement, its stock price increased 7.36 per cent to Tk 32.10 on the bourse.

As of Wednesday, its market capitalisation stood at Tk 194 crore. Its paid-up capital was Tk 65 crore and surplus reserve Tk 65 crore.
