BICM 1st ever research publication ‘Investment Toolkits’ published

Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market’s research book “Investment Toolkits” has been published. The publication ceremony was held in the multipurpose hall room of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission on 16 June 2022.

“Investment Toolkits” is the first publication of the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Markets and the first complete guideline book for investors in the country. Md Sajib Hossain, associate professor of Finance department of Dhaka University is the author of the book.

Attending the unveiling ceremony as the chief guest, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Prof Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam said that this book would enrich the knowledge base of investors which will eventually boost the investment in capital market.

Stating the importance of financial literacy he said that investing on capital market without better understanding will result in huge negative impact for the market. He further said that it would have been better if Bangladesh launched its bond market earlier.

Md Nojibur Rahman, chairman of Capital Market Stabilisation Fund (CMSF), Dr Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, a BSEC commissioner, Sajib Hossain, writer of Investment Toolkits, were also present at the programme, chaired by Mahmuda Akter, executive chairman at Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market.
