Two listed Life Insurance Companies declared dividends for their shareholder for year ended December 31, 2021.
National Life Insurance Company Limited and Pragati Life Insurance Company limited have recommended 35 per cent and 17 per cent cash dividends respectively, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
National Life Insurance will approve the dividends at their Annual general Meeting scheduled for September 5. And Pragati Life Insurance’s AGM will be held on July 31 for the approval of the dividends.
The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend among the shareholders has been scheduled as July 28 for National Life and July 7 for Pragati life.
National life reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 3.84 and consolidated NAV per share of Tk 52.64 during the period.
National life stock price dropped 0.94 per cent to Tk 178.30 on the bourse. And Pragati life stock price increased 1.03 per cent to Tk 78.70 on Sunday.
