CSE revises CSE 30 index

The Chattogram Stock Exchange has revised its CSE 30 index on the basis of performance of the listed companies.

The new index will be effective from June 30, said the stock exchange in a statement on Wednesday.

The new companies which have been included in the CSE 30 index are -- Bank Asia limited, BSRM Steels Limited, Confidence Cement Limited, Baraka Patenga Power Limited, Linde Bangladesh Limited, Matin Spinning Mills Limited, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited and Premier Cement Mills Limited.

On the other hand, Aamra Networks limited, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited, Aman Feed Limited, BBS Cables Limited, Esquire Knit Composite Limited, Khulna Power Company Limited, Sandhani Life Insurance Company Limited and Singer Bangladesh Limited, were excluded from the previous list.

It may be mentioned here that the companies listed in the CSE-30 Index have a market capitalization of about 17.53 per cent of the total registered companies and about 23.06 per cent of the free-float market capitalisation of all registered companies, including free-float market capitalisation.
