Beximco topped the turnover chart with 6.32% of the total weekly turnover

Top 10 companies grab 31.62% of weekly turnover

The ten most-traded stocks accounted for 31.62 per cent of transactions on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week, with Bangladesh Export Import Company (Beximco) leading the turnover chart.

According to the DSE data, some 95 lac Beximco shares were traded, generating a turnover of Tk 124 crore, which was 6.32 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

IPDC Finance Limited came second on the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 112 crore changing hands. The company’s turnover rose 5.12 per cent from the previous week and 5.71 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Titas Gas Trans. & Dist. Co. Ltd. contributed 4.82 percent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 94.56 crore. Its turnover rose 6.62 per cent from the previous week.

Fortune Shoes Limited notched the forth place and contributed 4.79 per cent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 93.93 crore. Its share closed at Tk 46.7, turnover dropped 0.45 per cent over the previous week.

Delta Life Insurance Co. Ltd, a life insurance sector listed company, which posted 2.10 per cent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 41.30 crore and turnover rose 0.27 per cent over the previous week.

Shinepukur Ceramics secured sixth place on the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 35.83 crore changing hands. The company’s share price loses 0.5 per cent to close at Tk 48 on Thursday, which was 1.83 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Golden Son Limited shares worth Tk32.08 crore changing hands. The company’s share closed at Tk 20 on Thursday which was 1.63 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Fu Wang Food Ltd. also made its way to the week’s top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 31.19 crore changing hands. The company’s shares fell 0.3 percent to close at Tk 25.5 on Thursday. Total turnover of the company for the week was 1.59 per cent.

Shares of JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing Limited came ninth on the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 27.87 crore changing hands. The company’s shares fell 0.3 percent to close at Tk 79.5 on Thursday. The total turnover of the company for the week was 1.42 per cent.

Intraco Refueling Station Limited also secured its spot in the week’s top turnover chart, which total turnover was 27.61 per cent and 1.41 per cent of the total turnover the previous week.
