LafargeHolcim Bangladesh has declared 15 per cent interim dividend as their earnings increased for the first half of 2022.
In the April-June quarter this year, the company reported revenue of Tk 501 crore and a net profit of Tk 123 crore, which was 6 per cent and 10 per cent respectively higher than the previous year at the same time, said the company in a statement on Wednesday.
“Our performance in the second quarter is robust due to our innovative products, efficient distribution channels, new e-commerce,” Rajesh K Surana, chief executive officer of LafargeHolcim said.
“Our colleagues have kept their focus on our key long-term value creation drivers to become the leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions,” he added.
“With continuous emphasis on Agility, Cost & Innovation, we demonstrated strong performance in the second quarter of 2022, setting a solid foundation for rest of the year.” he continued.
Net sales during the quarter increased by 6 per cent to Tk 5,01 crore compared to Tk 4,73 crore in Q2, 2021. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) reached Tk 1,29 crorre a growth of 9 per cent over same quarter of the last year.
The Board of Directors of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited has declared payment of interim cash dividend 15 per cent at Tk 1.50 per Equity Share of Tk 10 face value aggregating to Tk 174 crore for the half year ending June 2022.
LafargeHolcim shares traded at Tk 65.50 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
