AB Bank Q2 EPS zooms 50%

AB Bank Limited has posted a 50 per cent rise in its earnings for the second quarter of 2022.

Its consolidated earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk 0.24 in April-June period from Tk 0.16 recorded in the same period a year ago, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday.

However, the net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) of AB Bank turned positive in the first half of the current year. It was Tk 0.42 in the same period a year ago.

Its consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share was Tk 30.55 as of June 30, 2022 and Tk 31.07 as of June 31, 2021.

The financial disclosure impacted AB Bank shares positively as its share price gained 2.04 per cent to Tk 10 on Monday. The price moved between Tk 9.80 and Tk 17.30 throughout the last one year.

The company has Tk 843 crore in market capitalization, Tk 860 crore in paid-up capital and Tk 1695 crore in surplus reserve.

It made its stock market debut in 1983.
