Apex Spinning & Knitting Mills has decided to expand its greige knit fabric production capacity.
In a bid to enhance the production the board of directors has approved to import 10pcs of circular knitting machines by Tk 6.17 crore.
The machines are to be imported from Germany, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.
The machines are expected to be used in commercial operation by Q2 of 2022-2023. The machines will mostly be used for own consumption, it added.
Apex Spinning share price dropped 1.54 per cent and Tk 128.20 traded on Thursday.
Its earnings per share (EPS) was Tk 0.87 for the January-March 2022 period as against Tk 0.76 for the same period last year.
The company distributed 20 per cent cash dividend to its shareholders for FY21, which was 15 per cent in the previous financial year.
