BATBC Q2 EPS rises 4.66%

British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC)’s has reported a 4.66 per cent rise in its earnings for the first quarter (April-June) of 2022.

Its EPS was Tk 9.20 for April-June 2022 as against Tk. 8.79 for April-June 2021, the company said in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Sunday.

Its net operating cash flow per share was Tk 16.77 from January-June 2022. It was negative Tk 4.29 during the same period of the previous year.

During the second quarter, the company has also reported that Earnings per share (EPS) increased for

higher profit after tax compared to the same period last year driven by growth in volume. NOCFPS increased due to higher collection from revenue compared to the same period last year.

The net asset value (NAV) of the company per share was Tk 70.06 as on June 30, 2022 and Tk 68.13 as on June 30, 2021.
