NRBC reports negative earnings in Q2

NRB Commercial Bank (NRBC) Limited listed last year has reported negative earnings for the second quarter of 2022.

Its EPS was Tk 0.065 in negative for April-June 2022 as against Tk 0.643 in the same period a year ago, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Monday.

Its net operating cash flow per share was Tk 14.99 from January-June 2022, which was Tk 0.72 in negative in the same period of the previous year.

“EPS fell due to new provisioning guideline for loans or investment of Bangladesh Bank as well as volatile stock market,” it said.

The net asset value (NAV) of the company per share was Tk 15.13 as on June 30, 2022 and Tk 15.12 as on June 30, 2021.

The bank share price was down 1.68 per cent to Tk 17.60 on Monday.

NRBC declared 12.50 per cent dividend, including 7.5 per cent cash and 5 per cent stock, for 2021.
