Top 10 stocks grab 29% of weekly turnover

The ten most-traded stocks accounted for 28.68 per cent of the weekly market turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week.

Beximco topped the turnover chart as it generated a turnover of Tk 363 crore, which was 7.19 per cent of the week’s total turnover, according to the DSE data.

The company’s share closed at Tk 127 on Thursday, gaining 3.8 per cent from the previous week.

Fortune Shoes Limited notched the second place of the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 195 crore changing hands. The company’s share price unchanged to close at Tk 79.5 on Thursday, which was 3.87 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Sonali Paper & Board Mills Limited accounted for 3 per cent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 151 crore. Its share closed at Tk 650.8, gaining 8.82 per cent over the previous week.

Malek Spinning Mills Limited secured the fourth spot with a turnover of Tk 147 crore. The company’s share closed at Tk 34.2, gained 32.84 per cent from the previous week. The company accounted for 2.92 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Delta Life Insurance Company Limited shares worth Tk132 crore changing hands. The company’s share closed at Tk 148.4 on Thursday, gaining 9.20 per cent over the previous week, which was 2.63 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Intraco Refueling Station Limited notched the sixth spot, with shares worth Tk 116 crore changing hands. Its share dropped 1.14 per cent to close at Tk 34.7 on Thursday, which was 2.30 pre cent of the week’s total turnover.

The turnover of IPDC Finance Limitedd was Tk 92.5 crore and total turnover of the week’s was 1.83 per cent. The company’s share price dropped 2.53 per cent to close at Tk 57.7 on Thursday.

Orion Infusion Limited also made its way to the week’s top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 86.34 crore changing hands. The company’s share gain 5.45 per cent to close at Tk 132.3 on Thursday. Total turnover of the company the week’s was 1.71 per cent.

Matin Spinning Mills Limited and KDS Accessories Limited also made their place on the week’s top turnover chart, which contributed 1.66 and 1.57 per cent respectively.
