Ten companies account for 29% weekly turnover

The ten most-traded stocks accounted for 29.05 per cent of the weekly market turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week.

Beximco topped the turnover chart as it generated a turnover of Tk 332 crore, which was 9.29 per cent of the week’s total turnover, according to the DSE data.

The company’s share closed at Tk 117.1 on Thursday, losses 8.44 per cent from the previous week.

Malek Spinning Mills Limited notched the second place of the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 112 crore changing hands. The company’s share price drop 3.39 per cent to close at Tk 34.2 on Thursday, which was 3.13 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Intraco Refueling Station Limited accounted for 3.01 per cent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 107 crore. Its share closed at Tk 38.1, gaining 1.4 per cent over the previous week.

Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa Limited secured the fourth spot with a turnover of Tk 84 crore. The company’s share closed at Tk 53.8, gained 11.62 per cent from the previous week. The company accounted for 2.35 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Olympic Industries Limited shares worth Tk80 crore changing hands. The company’s share closed at Tk 123.7 on Thursday, losses 5.4 per cent over the previous week, which was 2.24 per cent of the week’s total turnover.

Sonali Paper & Board Mills Limited notched the sixth spot, with shares worth Tk 66 crore changing hands. Its share dropped per cent 2.85ent to close at Tk 696.50 on Thursday, which was 1.86 pre cent of the week’s total turnover.

The turnover of Coppertech Industries Limitedd was Tk 65.62 crore and total turnover of the weeks was 1.83 per cent. The company’s share price gained 1.16 per cent to close at Tk 43.50 on Thursday.

Maksons Spinning Mills Limited also made its way to the week’s top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 65.22 crore changing hands. The company’s share unchanged to close at Tk 24.30 on Thursday. Total turnover of the company of this week was 1.81 per cent.

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited and Orion Infusion Limited also made their place on the week’s top turnover chart, which contributed 1.81 and 1.71 per cent respectively.
