Walton director to sell 1 lakh shares

One of the sponsor directors of Walton Hi-Tech Industries has announced to sell 1,00,000 shares of the company at the prevailing market price.

This is the first time a director of Walton has expressed his intention to sell shares since the country’s electronic giant made its debut in the stock market in 2020.

“SM Ashraful Alam, one of the sponsor directors of the company, has expressed his intention to sell 1,00,000 shares out of his holding 6,60,00,000 shares of the company at prevailing market price (in the public market) through Dhaka Stock Exchange within next 30 working days,” said the company in filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Thursday.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company on the next trading day on Sunday following its corporate declaration. On Thursday, its share price fell 0.19 per cent on the DSE.
