The ten most-traded stocks accounted for 29.13 per cent of the weekly market turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week.
Beximco topped the turnover chart as it generated a turnover of Tk 477 crore, which was 6.88 per cent of the week’s total turnover, according to the DSE data.
The company’s shares closed at Tk 119.1 on Thursday, unchanged from the previous week.
Orion Pharma Limited notched the second place of the turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 345 crore changing hands. The company’s share price gained 7.82 per cent to close at Tk 108.9 on Thursday, which was 4.99 per cent of the week’s total turnover.
Bangladesh Shipping Corporation Limited accounted for 2.65 per cent of the week’s total turnover. Its turnover was Tk 183 crore. Its share closed at Tk 123.9, gaining 2.57 per cent over the previous week.
LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Limited secured the fourth spot with a turnover of Tk179 crore. The company’s share closed at Tk 74.90, gained 0.81 per cent from the previous week. The company accounted for 2.58 per cent of the week’s total turnover.
Delta Life Insurance Company Limited shares worth Tk168 crore changing hands. The company’s share closed at Tk 155.30 on Thursday, gaining’s 9.99 per cent over the previous week, which was 2.43 per cent of the week’s total turnover.
IPDC Finance Limited notched the sixth spot, with shares worth Tk 153 crore changing hands. Its share gaining’s 8.70 per cent adn end to close at Tk 76.20 on Thursday, which was 2.21 per cent of the week’s total turnover.
The turnover of Olympic Industries Limited was Tk 151 crore and it was 2.18 per cent of the total turnover of the week. The company’s share price gained 2.11 per cent to close at Tk 135.80 on Thursday.
Fortune Shoes Limited also made its way to the week’s top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 129 crore changing hands. The company’s share unchanged to close at Tk 80.20 on Thursday. Total turnover of the company the week’s was 1.86 per cent.
Malek Spinning Mills Limited and Eastern Housing Limited also made their place on the week’s top turnover chart, which contributed 1.68 and 1.66 per cent respectively.
